Fortnite players loved the Fungus King set and especially, the rare harvesting tool it features. It is called the Crescent Shroom pickaxe and everyone would love to have it in their inventory. It has a fungal charm to itself that makes the tool, very interesting. The crescent-shaped blade of the axe is what people are after but players are wondering how they can acquire it in the game. The Crescent Shroom Pickaxe in Fortnite?
The item is very special and unique and it will soon be available in the game for purchase. But some players have magically acquired it before even realizing how or what it is. Fortnite’s official Twitter handle tweeted on 5th Jan 2023 that they have given everyone a Crescent Shroom Pickaxe who have played the game during the Winterfest event. It basically translates into if you have logged into the game within the dates of 16th Dec 2023 [8 AM CT] to 5th Jan 2023 [8 AM CT] then you are automatically eligible for the freebie. If you haven’t checked your game then there is a possibility that the pickaxe is already in your account.
This is a great thing that the developers have offered and for such an eccentric item, you didn’t even have to spend any big V-bucks.
The developers have made this decision to offer the pickaxe as compensation for all the login issues the game had recently. The game offered the pickaxe as a “thanks for everyone’s patience.” Apart from this freebie, Fortnite is also offering a Power Leveling Weekend to the players. It had started on 6th January and will go on until the next Monday, i.e., Jan 10th 2023. Players will have the opportunity to catch up and earn all the XP they missed out on during the 7-hour login issue the game servers faced.

How to get the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe?
If you haven’t played the game during the duration of the Winterfest event, then you were not eligible for the freebie. However, you still have the chance to obtain the Crescent Shroom Pickaxe which will be in the game’s store in a few days. And, you do have to spend V-Bucks for this.

This is a great initiative from the developers, acknowledging the player base’s problems and dealing with them professionally. Fortnite barely faces such a problem as the recent outage. We hope everything from now on will be smooth sailing in Fortnite Chapter 3.
