Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 is going great and fans are loving it so far. We are sure that by now you have also heard the game can again be played on mobile devices through the Geforce Experience. It doesn’t matter which device you play the game on, if you are looking to complete the Week 6 quests, then you are at the right place.
There are a number of quests that came within week 6 season quests and one of them requires players to purchase a random item from a malfunctioning vending machine, scattered around the game island. The Vending machine is one of the many things available within the game, that players can use during the match. They are commonly available around the map and players can get some good tier loot in exchange for gold bars.
But as the Fortnite Chapter 3 challenges goes, this one is not that easy to complete. You see, Vending machines are commonly found over the island, but the quest requires a malfunctioning one, and this kind is hard to find. You can easily distinguish between a normal and a malfunctioning one as the former has a blue light on, whereas the latter illuminates red light. The malfunctioning one portrays an ‘exclamation’ or, ‘!’ image on it too. They sometimes throw away a chunk of materials out, free for grabs.
Where to find Malfunctioning Vending Machines in Fortnite Chapter 3?
These spawn in a semi-random way, all over the map. They replace a perfect Vending machine, and the chances of them spawning there again is very low. However, the two best areas that you should look for, will offer better luck. Sleepy Sound and Coney Crossroads are the two areas where three Vending Machines, each, spawns. You will be notified of their positions on the mini-map when you get near.
However, as mentioned previously, these malfunctioning ones have more random spawn chances. Land at Sleepy Sound and drive around and search for it. If not found, driver over to Coney Crossroads and continue your search there. There is a high chance that you will find one within these two locations.
After you find what you are looking for, go near the machine and interact with it. Use 100 gold bars to purchase something and you will complete the challenge. You will receive your bonus XP of 25,000, once done. If your luck runs out and you fail to find a malfunctioning vending machine, you can also check the nearby areas around. These include Logjam Lumberyard, Shifty Shafts, The Dialy Bugle and Sanctuary.
