If you have been playing Roblox for a while, you will realise that changing usernames is not an option. However, the development team has been playing around with the idea for some time now, and could finally come to fruition.

Changing your display name:
They first tried giving users the chance to change their usernames, but users soon took the chance to come up with abusive, sexist and racist usernames. It was discontinued after that. However, they have rolled out a new update that has allowed users to update their names.
With this update, you can instantly change your display name with ease, and can even change it again if you don’t like it. You need to just click on your account details, go to settings and visit the ‘Display Name’ section. You are free to choose whichever name that you like and it can be seen hanging above your head when you play.
Moreover, you are free to change the display names as many times as you wish, and it won’t even cost you any Robux or special subscriptions. However, there are few guidelines that need to be followed:

You can only change your name once every seven days.

The length of the name must be between 3 and 20 characters.

The chosen name will need to be verified by Roblox’s filters, so no abusive, sexist or racist names will be allowed.
Your name doesn’t even have to be unique as two individuals can share the same name as well.
