In the world of Scavengers, players will have to stay on their toes at all times to fight against a host of enemies and other players. The players have to be prepared with their greatly polished skills in the game which will be the line between life and death.
One of the most sure-fire ways to fight better in the game is to spend a considerable amount of time in the menu researching different items and weapons. Once something has been researched by the player it will then be available for crafting.
However, since the game is practically new in the market, researching isn’t exactly a well-explained mechanism of the game. It can be slightly confusing to figure out all the mechanics that it involves, so this guide shows players how to research equipment.
How To Research New Equipment in Scavengers
To complete the research successfully players will have to understand the several things that go into research in this game. The player will have to manage their power system, understand what salvage and materials are used for, and then figure out how research tiers operate.
Power System – In the top right of their menu screen, you will see a green battery bar. It shows how much power the player currently has, and each piece of research will require you to spend a minimum amount of power. Not to worry the Power will regenerate over time but at a very small rate, and it has a maximum limit it can hit.
Salvage and Materials – of course, no research is completed without the involvement of actual materials that have to be researched. Each item to be researched will require a certain number of materials that it displays like a recipe or blueprint. The player will have to collect materials first before trying to research these items, typical crafting mechanism you see in most RPG games.
Materials are collected from the Salvage that you bring from your missions, and it can be anything from guns that were collected during a mission, items that were leftover at the end, and even things that were collected from chests or from leveling up. They can be deconstructed from the menu to obtain the materials that they hold.
Research Tiers – The final aspect of research are the different Research Tiers. Higher Tiers allows players to gain access to higher quality weapons and items to research. After unlocking the high-tier, players will be able to discover rarer materials for research purposes. Players can also research tiers the same way as items and materials, albeit it requires rare materials to be researched.
Having an understanding of all these three major aspects, players can finally begin working towards researching the best items available in the game. As players level up they will want to make sure that they continue completing research to give themselves an advantage over their foes.
