You can roam around and explore the world like you usually do and can come across leads in the game. They can usually be found from chests or as dropped loot by defeating an in-game mob. But the chances are somewhat based on your luck. The primary and guaranteed solution to obtain a lead in Minecraft is still crafting.
How to craft Lead in Minecraft?
This process will work on both Bedrock and Java editions of the game. All you need to craft it is a Crafting Table and these materials.
- 4 Strings
- 1 Slime Ball
You can get strings in the game by defeating the spider mobs and they will drop it as loot. On the other hand, Slime Ball can be found by defeating Slimes. Slime mobs can be found randomly in the game, especially in mines down below the surface.
When you have obtained these materials, go to your Crafting Table, and hit right-click. Now place one String each on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 9th slot. Place the single Slime Ball in the middle, i.e., on the 5th Slot. This will generate 2 Leads that players can now use to walk their pet animals.
